Pathways is a tried and tested telehealth platform created and designed through a partnership between GPT (Global Partnership for Telehealth) and Stone Three - implemented in the North American healthcare sector. Due to the urgency of the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth in Africa has taken a massive leap to ensure quality healthcare can be provided in these uncertain times. Pathways, with thousands of telehealth consults under its belt, was brought home and customised to provide a solution built in Africa, by Africans, for Africans.

Considering the challenges we face in South Africa as a developing country, it is essential that Pathways Africa is scalable, robust and is able to cater for the unique low bandwidth environments it finds itself in. Being web-based Pathways allows for seamless patient access either from the comfort of their home or in-person with a primary care provider wanting to expand their clinical services through the use of specialist expertise.
